Mónica Padilla Mantellini is an entrepreneur and philanthropist with more than 15 years of experience in children’s language education. For the past four years she has dedicated her life to conducting social outreach and charity work in her native Venezuela through the CDEI Foundation.

As Ambassador to Venezuela at CDEI, Mrs. Padilla oversees all local operational activities overseeing management and delivery guaranteeing all donations are distributed properly reaching the proper cause. She has been instrumental in helping the Organization achieve its goals nationwide, working closely with all the non-profits supported by CDEI.

Prior to CDEI, Mrs. Padilla founded BeHappy Learning (BHL) in 2003, an English Academy for kids between 3 and 12 years-old. During her tenure at BHL she also volunteered for organizations like Tapas por Vidas, Fundaleucemia, and Proyecto Niños de la Selva. BHL ran operations until 2014, when she decided to focus solely on her philanthropic work with CDEI and the organizations under its umbrella.

Her background in teaching goes back to 2001, when she began her career at the Venezuelan American Centre (CVA). Soon after that, she also started teaching kindergarten and middle school kids at the Madre Matilde School in Caracas.

Mrs. Padilla holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Mass Communications from Andres Bello Catholic University, where she also got a minor in Advertisement and Public Relations.
